About Tom Shoemaker
Tom was born and raised in The Bronx, NY, and was an early mathematics prodigy. He ultimately attended Manhattan College where he graduated Summa Cum Laude in Mathematics. Sought after by various Fortune 500's, he chose to begin his career with Bell Laboratories in NJ. After quickly completing a MS in Computer Science from USC and an Executive MBA from U Mich, his career as a rising corporate leader was launched. After nearly two decades successfully leading several Bell Labs teams to accomplish their objectives, he chose to pursue his deeper passion, which was small business. His career in small business included start-ups as well as more mature small businesses in need of a new business plan. Most recently Tom served as CEO of Phacil, Inc, a medium sized federal government contracting company in Arlington, VA. The successful transition of Phacil to an ESOP and several years later to a private equity firm earned Tom a reputation for getting deals done in the best interest of his employees and the endurance and future success of the company.
